DIGITAL DELEGATES
The GOP is committed to making this the most innovative, high-tech convention ever – and digital delegates won’t miss a thing. The 2008 Republican National Convention will be a truly national experience, and www.GOPconvention2008.com will bring the sights and sounds of the week’s events to all Americans.

Hometown/State Activities
While the official convention proceedings will take place inside Saint Paul’s Xcel Energy Center, the GOP and our party’s nominee will rely on the help of supporters from coast to coast. Digital delegates can help generate excitement in their own communities by getting the word out about the GOP’s optimistic vision for America. Ways to do this include submitting an opinion piece or letter to the editor to you local newspaper; posting your thoughts to a political blog or online chat room; and going door to door in your neighborhood to rally supporters and get out the vote.
In addition, there will be numerous convention initiatives that digital delegates can participate in from afar. There will be sign painting efforts, community service drives, and convention watch parties happening across the nation. The convention’s American Neighbor volunteer program is already in full swing in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area as convention staffers are giving of their time to support the host cities’ communities in need.

Service Project Ideas
The 2008 Republican National Convention encourages delegates, alternate delegates, elected officials and guests to participate in community service projects in their home states through the convention’s American Neighbor initiative.
Digital delegates and those planning to travel to the convention in September should consider taking action at home in the coming months. Opportunities exist in every community to help! Volunteering at a soup kitchen, mentoring students, or even donating blood are all valuable and widely available ways to give back.
